A Couple Days in CO

My family and I flew to CO on Wed. night for a couple days.  It was pretty special.  Before we left we took Emerson out and took a closer look at the landscape.  It was gorgeous!  If we had more time, we would have spent hours exploring.  I also got to play around with my camera, which I haven't done for a long time.  Taking pictures is so much fun when you are in such a cool place!
I love the contrast of the blue sky against the red rock.
My girl.
These white rocks stood oppsite the red rocks on the other side of the path.  Do you see the names carved into the stone?
We could see these rock formations from miles away.  You can't tell from this picture, but when we looked to the west, the red color of the rocks and their jagged edges make them visible and bright against the blue backdrop of rocky mountains.
Look at the sky!
I took this from the car so there is a glare, but I had to get a picture of this landscape.  We were really astounded by the grassy plains to the east and how they suddenly turn into giant mountains.  At the garden, we saw a lot of grassy plains and fields with huge red and white rocks randomly sitting there.
This is the view to the east.
I just really like the sun and the bubbles of clouds in this picture.
I hope you appreciate this picture as much as I do!  As we were leaving the garden to head back to Denver, I kept looking back at the amazing sight of mountains and rocks because the landscape we were driving toward was such a contrast.  I looked in my rearview mirror and saw the beautiful sky and this.  So I thought, well, I will just take a picture of it from the mirror.  This turned out pretty cool.

These next two pictures are more beautiful than anything...
I jumped out of the car to take a picture and as I walked back to the car I looked at Jared and Emerson and was overcome with complete love, joy, and appreciation.  They are everything.  They are my life, my purpose, and my favorite source of happiness.  All I thought was I AM THE LUCKIEST WOMAN IN THE WORLD.  I have it all.  I could want for nothing...literally.  I definitely had a "moment" of clarity.
My SWEET husband.
My DARLING girl.

And now, rest...........................................................................................................................
